Why is my G so slow

I think there is something seriously wrong with me G. I think it is just dirt slow. I raced my brother that has a 2003 350z auto and he spanks me...BAD. He ran a 15.0-15.2 @ 94-95 mph and he is spanking me by atleast two cars. Does anyone know why? I have a 2005 6mt coupe and i just can't seem to beat him and the car itself feels so slow. I redline about 7300 rpms or as close to 7400 as possible. And please do not say it is the driver . I want to take it to the track and see what i can really do, but i feel that i will just embarresed myself. I am bone stock right now, and i know this car is rated atleast 99pmh in the 1/4 and it is no where near that. My old car was way faster than this....

maybe because 350z is faster then g35? its lighter and quicker but u have Mt so i mean i wouldnt be surprised if he won but spanked is another story that depends on good you are and i hope your racing with vdc off.

You got Premium fuel in the tank? Definitely have VDC turned off.
How many miles do you have on your G? Is it brand new? You know they have a break-in period? I'm not sure "when" the break-in period ends, but I hear you get peak performance after the car's engine gets broken-in. Maybe someone can comment about that for you...

F*ck the break-in-period, pure garbage. How are you redlining at 7400, that is impossible, Rev-Ups redline at 7100. Do you have an ECU flash? Get your car dyno'd and see wassup man

i got the car used...it has about 12000 miles. they car has been broken in. I understand a z can be faster but if he is trappping 95mph in the 1/4, auto and the 6mt is suppose to trap 100mph. I mean that is a difference of 5mph which is a lot. Also, i do have premium gas, 91 octane which is the highest that is offered here in AZ. Also, i do have the vdc, but that is only for launches, so i can spin the tires. Doesnt really affect it when you are doing it from a roll. I launch about 4500 rpm, i get a good tire spin but he pulls in 2nd. Car is just slow period and i am bothered by it because it should be faster.

also, i do redline about 7300-7400. Each line is an increment of 200 rpms...i redline just short of the 2nd line. i need a cai.....and other mods. I have an nx wet kit with remote bottle opener and purge kit, aem FPR, and apex i' ground kit that needs to be installed

im nto sure but i think if your going past redline your losing horsepower tell me if im wrong but i think peak is at 6800..or at least thats what im aware of. And you are driving stick so it can be partly on your part too, either way turn vdc off because when your changing gears even off roll you need to chirp (make tires peel a little when changing gears isntead of having traction lock you in) and just keep going i mean your car might have a problem, but i think you should fully see if its on your part or the car? does the Z have anything in its engine?

lol.. dont take it all the way up to redline, isnt peak torque/hp like at 6400? maybe you're just launching wrong too?
