the dealer jacked my clutch;(
alright here is my situation i had problems with my tranny because every time i put it in 5th it will grind yes i know very common problem with the g35 but i had an ACT clutch and pressure plate and now i have a STOCK clutch what the f*cks up with that is there a way to get my stuff back or will they void my warrenty if i put it back in?? or am i being dumb and just let it go because they did replace my whole tranny for free thanks guys
I would ask for it back. Then again you might not want to risk having them try and void your warranty if they didn't notice the ACT part.If it's that important to you go and get it back. Hell, after the dealer did a warranty replacement for one of my headlights on my Explorer, I realized they kept my Silverstar bulb. I went back to the dealer and said I want it back. They ahd no issue with it. Although mine was just a headlight bulb and yours is a clutch. . .
ouch... thats a sticky situation. if you want your clutch back, you need to get it back quick before it hits warranty claims. im suprised that the technician didnt realize that it was an aftermarket clutch and pressure plate. and they would probably charge you for r&r tranny and etc and parts if you go back and ask them for the part back.
thats ur stuff... i say go back an ask if putting in an aftermarket clutch voids warrenty... and if they say no then ask for ur stuff back... thats ur stuff that u paid for and if it doesn't void warrenty then go get that back

the thing is for ALL "warranty" repaired items, the technician have to turn the part that he/she replaced in to the warranty claims department. the warranty only applies to the part that nissan/infiniti provides for the vehicle. it makes no sense to buy a cheap, half as5 made clutch (for example) from pep boys, knowingly that its gonna **** up within 10 miles and expect nissan to replace it with OEM for "free". i say cut your losses and move on.

thanks for all ur advice i am going to call them tomorrow and ask them if it does void ur warrenty i didnt even think about asking them that because knowing how the dealer usually works EVERYTHING tends to void it out but no harm can happen by just asking thanks guys a lot...
