Exclamation WTF!! Infiniti BLOWS!! $690 for diagnostic testing

What the F$%#!! So.. i take my G in and granted it's been in an accident, but all body damage. After a $690 diagnostic, they've decided to blame it on the AEM intake. And they WON'T cover it!! ANYONE have any suggestions?

put the stock intake back on and take it to another dealer... simple as that.

@ 27K So I was getting off the freeway, hauling ***.. make the left turn @ about 50-55 and the car just goes non-responsive!! Everything shuts off including of course power steering!! Anyhow, long story short.. I called Infiniti. They're gonna take a look, but they've been having a lot of people come back with same problem.

Won't Cover What. Blame what on the AEM. Not enough info.

Definitely worth a try. Just hope that they didn't log the incident in some sort of linked Infiniti computer system where other Infiniti dealers can see that the original dealership rejected you for service due to the intake. I have no idea if such a linked system is in effect for Infiniti, so that might be a complete BS warning on my behalf, but it's something to keep in mind just in case.

The only way I could think of it being the intake would be if your MAF is destroyed as a result of the intake, or if somehow your engine got hydrolocked, which I can't realy determine if is a likely scenario given the scarcity of details in your initial posting of the story. Doesn't AEM use a bypass valve anyways on their intake?

i think he's blaming infiniti for the accident?
in any case, the accident itself should be covered by insurance

regarding their assessment, it sounds correct....others on this board have had the problem

i wouldnt try to scam dealers about it though..

SAME thing happened to me... well similar story somethin went wrong with my AC and they blamed it on my aftermarket intake the way it was installed or sumthin. Got pissed off but i guess it was my fault in a way. Try taking it somewhere else like an auto repair shop that u kno, much cheaper
