Whats up with the 06 dipstick?
Anyone else find its a bi#$% to get back in and to take out ? Sometimes I think its bent although its brand new.

yea its retarded. no idea why they would design something like that. it rubs on everything when pulling it out so u cant get a good read anyway...wtf

I think it's a VQ thing. My Maxima had it too.

Who needs a dipstick. Everytime you change your oil and filter just pour 5 quarts in and your set.

You better be kidding... Oil evaporates over time you know, expecially synthetic. You could be down a quart after 5,000 miles.

At least it pulled out straight in the 3.5 in the Max. Still rubbed the entire way and was impossible to read though. lol

I also agree of the dipstick's poor design. However, after 3 years and maybe checking the oil a half dozen times, I have gotten used to it. It's actually an art, it's all in the wrist action...lol

Well I change my oil every 3000 miles so evaporation is not somthing I worry about.
