Trunk Lid swap opinion??

i was thinking of swapin my DG trunk lid with a 05 spoiler and mt.fuji only for a DG trunk lid with no spoiler and fully badged. What is a good price for the swap. FYI: i quoted one person $225 and they agreed to that price.to low or what?? LOCAL so theres no shipping with this quote. dont know why i want to get rid of the spoiler just do. but dont want to get robbed so opinions on price please???????

I think that's a good price for it. Since you want the no spoiler look. Your trunk is already drilled for the spoiler, you can only get it by trading someone else. Also, those spoilers usually sell for around 200 on ebay painted. Granted yours is from the manufacture, it is used and you want to get rid of it. Also, your aero package also came with the underbody diffusers that you're not giving him so i think its a good trade.

Also, it is hard to find someone local with your same color that wants to trade for a spoiler. And if you have to ship trunks, that just gets expensive and risky.

+1. I think it's a fair trade with the cash difference.

I think that's a great deal both ways. One thing to consider though, is that you'll lose your 3rd brakelight w/the swap. It's a legal requirement, so you'll need to get the rear decklid too with the 3rd brakelight on there...

[QUOTE=budzara]^^Did you buy your car used? Usually dealers plop a a spoiler on to try to get more money for the car. If the car came out of the factory with a spoiler, you wouldn't have that led in the back window

I bought it without the aero package and then took it back a week later for them to install the aero package. so that why i have a extra brake light

The only reason your would have a 3rd brakelight on the rear window and the spoiler, is if the dealer installed the spoiler or the whole aero package. It would never have both from the factory. Works out great in your case, since you're getting rid of the spoiler. Cars look extremely ghey with both of them anyways...basically a 3rd and a 4th brakelight...lol
