Haha this is the best option of them all. Sooner or later the ticket will be forgotten...are you serious? The courts have nothing better to do then to add your name in the system man. In any case, if you don't pay up, you'll have a warrant out for your arrest and the next time you get pulled over and the cops call in a 10-27, your profile will come back with a 10-32 and off to the pokey you go! and your G gets impounded for 30 days.

 

I've always went to court for tickets, of course in Maryland, being fined more after an appeal isn't that common. I'd just expect to pay the ticket, and appeal it to get the points taken off.

Yes, you're gonna have to pay a court fee for your appeal, but it'll save you a lot more in the longrun rather than have those points on your record.

 

Im from Jersey and i ripped my NY ticket and threw it out the window lol It was only a parking ticket but now they sent me a letter in the mail saying i need to pay it and added an additional $20... bro TRUST ME... just pay it TRUST ME THEY WONT FORGET ABOUT IT!

yes agreed they nvr forget...my boy titan he sont hsi forums he forgot abt his ticket and he stoped by my work 1 day and since we work on police cars also at my shop there was a cop here and for some reason he ended up running his plates while he was inside with me lol

and his lic was suspended lmoa...cop aske dme how well i knew him cause he was goig to arrest him if i didnt say i knew him well rofl...i gave him my get out of jail free card...but i had to drive his a$$ to the reg..to fix it

so i say pay it or u will get it back in the a$$ in the long run and not to forget his ticket doubles cause he didnt pay it for 9 months...

 

Your best bet is. Go to court, plea not guilty, ask the judge
for an adjournment because your witnesses could not make it today.

Then see if you can speak to the prosecutor and ask (play dumb)
if you could pay a fine (non moving) so you don't have to miss another
day at work and inconvenience your witnesses.

Chances are. You will pay a larger fine ($50- more) BUT will have
no points on your record.

Do cops have records of your car after they laser you?

i asked that becuase there were quite a lotta cars on the road at that time, and i kinda mentioned to the cop that i'm gonna appeal coz i had a feeling that he lasered at the other car that was going fast than me (the car was on the middle lane, i was on the right lane)

he siad no, he pointed the gun straight at me, and said, brign a lawyer to court, and u'll lose!!?!?!

he sounded so confident, but at this poitn i'm just thinking of saying he shot the wrong car at court, and see if the judge would let me go..

do u guys think this argument would work?

not gonna work. in court it's your word against the cops, and they always take the cops word unless you have some form of hard evidence stating otherwise.

 

keep getting continuances, push it back back back, hope the cop doesn't show. if he does, plead guilty. it's just a speeding ticket.
