debadging damege.

i got a 03 laser red coupe. about 35k miles. the emblens are still on and im thinking of removing the g35 and the infiniti logo, do you guys think itll leave a mark? even if i use goo gone i heard about it leaving shadows or something like that. is there anyway to get rid of it? like washing the car and waxing or something.

Using a non-shred dental floss when you debadge will eliminate nicks.

To debadge:

1) Warm up the emblems (bright sunny day or a hairdryer) ... soften the adhesive that holds the emblem on

2) Take out the dental floss to cut through the adhesive.

3) Wash off / peel off the chunks of adhesive that the floss did not remove

4) Goo-gone the remainder

5) Wash off any Goo-gone with car soap

6) Wax to protect paint

7) Take pics of your work to show to the rest of the world your handy work...

If the shadow doesn't go away, the car has been repainted before, and the shadow would be from the overspray from the clearcoat.
