New to G35 - Warranty Questions

Hi Guys

I've recently made a purchase of a 2003 G35 6MT in BO.

Ever since purchasing the vehicle I have kept a log book in my vehicle of any problems I have faced. I have come up with the following list of issues.

- Engine Ticking
- Grinding Noise when Turning the Wheel in either direction while either parked or moving very slowly
- Driver window motor needs to be reset
- Rear-Passenger wheel looked wobly when on the dyno
- Driver side window slow winding up
- Slow Rear Defog(maybe this one is just me)
- Wind Noise When Driving 120km+/h

Are these issues covered under warranty? Im currently within my Basic AND Powertrain warranty.

Are there any other things I should look for before taking my care in for service?

I would suggest taking your car into a smaller infinity dealership. The smaller ones literally need the money and arent too busy to fully fix all of the little problems like a huge dealership. Anyway, They get refunded the money and more plus labor by infiniti headquarters: quoted exactly by a rep at a dealership! I just bought an 03 6mt and had a small tear and collapsed padding in my driver seat and a whining noise that i thought was the throw out bearing. Small dealership gave me all new leather and foam in the seat and a new transmission! Plus i got to test drive a g35 sedan for a week!

Hi Guys

Thank you very much for all of your posts, very much appreciated.

I have some concerns in regards to warranty. Here are my current issues with the vehicle and the answers I've been given.

1) Engine burning oil quickly.
Dealer says I need a consumption test done, but also that Infiniti will require *ALL* oilchange receipts. I am not the first owner , I am the third, I can retrieve receipts for the 2nd owner and myself but I have no idea who the third owner is.

2) Rough Suspension.
The suspension is very rough and feels like its bottoming out on even the mildest of bumps. The tech says its due to incorrectly sized tires on the vehicle ,currently im on 225/40R/18 snow tires. Is this possible?

3) Clutch Supposedly Wearing Out as per Dealer (Clutch Springs and Pilot Bearing)
The dealer mentioned that the clutch is worn out, the indicator was the stiff clutch pedal? Does this actually indicate a worn clutch? The clutch was replaced by Infiniti at 20k Miles on Sep. 05 and now at 50k miles it is wearing again? Is there any sort of warranty associated?

thats bs that they wont do anything without all oil change receipts. you dont have access to all of them! try giving extreme4377 a PM. he just took in his car earlier this week for the oil consumption problem and they ordered him a new engine and its coming on the 12th! i dont know all the little details that he went through though...so ask him
