Boy have we.. LOL.. We don't all end up in this car because we're ready for the old age home. Mature doesn't equal dead.

In my case, I had a license that allowed me to do the essentials - to and from work, etc. I stretched the rules, of course, but generally tried to stay within reason. Dicking around had already cost me enough money, time, and ***-chewing by those it affected. I was ready to be done with it. Still am.

Even now, all these years later, my ignorance then influences how I drive and what I think about before I turn the starter. Notice I never said the temptation went away or that I didn't enjoy wringing my cars neck now and again. I'm just very, very selective about how and when. The temptation FAR outweighs the opportunity.

The only time I've really gotten to dog my G with no worries is when my airfield was closed for an airshow. Talk about fun with no hassles.
