3 series BMW to the G

Hey guys how yous doin? new member here... i been wanting the g35 coupe for a long time now and i was never able to afford it due to financial problems.
I am geting a black 2003 g35 coupe with 49k miles on for 19grand which is a great buy i think that includes navigation. I will be taking the navi out for a touch screen system once i save up..anyways im gettinf off topic here what i wanted to ask you guys is anyone drive a bmw and went to infiniti? Mind you i have never drove a G before but ive taken rides in them and they are very confy and the design i think is just awesome.

I used to have a 2000' BMW 328i with 20inch chrome deep dish rims which looked great on the car and it deff made peoples heads turn . I guess, what im really asking here is how is the performance going from bmw to the G? anyone went the same route as me?

Im anctious to do some mods to it as soon as possible. Since winter is coming here in a month or two i dont think i will be geting rims for this car yet i may just wait till spring time.

p.s. i have searched for blue tooth connectivity in the forums but couldnt answer my question.. im lookin for a touch screen system with navigation and bluetooth capibility for around 1grand at the most.

Thanx guys..

the G outruns a 328 in a line easily
if you dont have the sport package, considering your wheels, the G should easily outhandle it as well.
if your new G is 6MT it should also have better braking than the 328 (in feel and fade)

Im anctious to do some mods to it as soon as possible.
you seem to be more into asthetics than performance, which is fine, but if you do want to go the performance route, do your research first...

dont think you can find that all in one unit for that price. but before you can install an in dash 1 or 2 din unit, you will need to have the doubledin modificaiton done. when i did it, it cost me about $400...and again that's to just be able to install an aftermarket head unit. i dont know what it costs to do these days, but good luck with it all.

wow i see.. well maybe i should save up cause i deff like the idea of having touch screen to type in adresses for navigation and aswell as bluetooth for the car for phone calls.

The car is just insane i wont go back to bmw until i get used to the G and see how it goes next to the M3 which will be my next car.

I went from a 2000 Audi A4 with 19" Zinik Sabini rims (same ballpark as 328) to my 2004 OB coupe. I decided to get the G because i cannot afford a new audi (2006+). You will love the change. The interior is just as, if not more,
accomodating and comfortable and clearly the performance is much more fun! Getting a G after a semi-luxurious German automibile is definetley a smooth transition.

I have an 05 G, my friend has an 05 M3. I personally like my G better due to the fun, comfort and looks. My friends M3 is just as fast as mine. (I have Stillen Exhaust, Stillen Intake, and some others, not much though.)
I think the M3 looks very much like a 325/323 exterior wise. the interior is beautiful, and his has Navi, (unlike mine.. i have all packages except navi); and i like the STG or whatever their shifting is called. its basically an auto-manual thing. ^^ my personal opinion. their 2 great cars, but i think by the time the 08 convertible comes out, id rather get that than an 05 m3.

Well im not gona lie id rather have an M3 and it does own a g35 in races its 333 hp stock, when the G's are 280 - 300ish with work done. The m3 has the SMG shifting which is alot of fun.. it has auto launch u cannot mess this up.. perfect launching each and ever single time and it will shift for u at precise timing when it needs to be before u acually loose HP at peak revs.

allthought im exited about the G this will be my only experience while i save money for the m3. I am a bmw enthusiast allways have been.. notgona lie the interiour is all alike but performance wize its probably the best car they have.
