we'll just have a cheap copy of what is great. separate the men from the boys. no biggie.

doesnt matter much to me.

1. i dont honestly feel that the new altima coupe is a better sports coupe than my 'old' 04 G 6mt.

2. i dont think it looks better (FWD has the front wheels back far, doors arent as clean, rear end, head lights...) and the rear 3/4 -rear view is all different. more pontiac g6 than g35. i could talk about wheel gap and the fender at the wheel and go on but i wont. in short it lacks the purely clean look of the 1st gen G- the subtle differences matter. a lot.

3. I wouldnt rather the suspension, fwd layout, nonbrembo brakes, fixed gauges, poor aftermarket selection...

4. The interior may be nice but I like my leather and the fine touches in my interior well enough. the new interior may have nice materials and good nvh but i dont like the design of it :/

5. as pointed out above, e46 m3s have to deal with 325s and less (in europe) running around looking "like them" that doesnt make the m3 less of a car.

6. this will not compare to the new g35 coupe. i wont waste any effort into elaborating on that.

7. i wouldnt trade my car in for it. if i were in the market now, id buy a similarly priced g35 over it. its not my cup of tea. there's a reason why this thing will cost as much as a 350z in higher trim and still be a good addition to the lineup - its for a different buyer. its NOT for the Z/G type. its for someone who wants to be sporty, without being too sporty/aggressive/nontraditional if that makes sense.

Actually it's much worse with the M3 because it costs around $20K more than a 328. I'm betting that the a decently equipped Altima will cost nearly $30K. That's just a few K less than a G35.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GUNNA SAY!! what are you going with? Im going to use a fork. i figure, its harder to kill someone with a fork, rather than a knife, and if i stab them for asking a stupid question, i want them to live to remember. they may wake up 6 years from now and as theyre smacking the snooz button, they say in thier head "note to self: DONT ask stupid questions".

ya see... this car may verywell end up changing peoples lives....forever!

Time to trade for an Altima Coupe. Better interior than my '04! LOL

A great strategy by Nissan to get existing G35 Coupe owners to trade up for an '08 G35 Coupe.
