New Car..G35 or E46 M3?

Hey I'm a real big enthusiast of the G35 but my first love was the M3. I just want to know if you were do it all over again, and you had a choice between both what would you choose. I am looking for a coupe but don't know which out of the 2 to choose from. The only factors that is holding me is:

1. Cost of parts and labor

2. I will have the car for about 3 1/2 years, so a model change is a factor

What factors would determine your decision? Style, Performance etc.

imo if i had a choice i would take the G then spend the money i saved by not buying the m3 and mod the g to the point where it would look awsome and smoke a m3. but if ur gonna keep them both stock then id definately get the m3.

if u want a better performance vehicle, get an M3... Plus not that many kids driving around in one..

G35 is all over the place... True, you can 'mod' a get to smoke a M3, but it's not going to be smog legal...

If money is not a factor then go with the M3

Money is somewhat a factor. If I do choose an M3, it might be a 04' with the typical mileage for that year but if i'm going to have it for a while I just don't want the parts to kill me. The G35 do look more sleaker then the boxier shape of the M3. I'm confused

I'd take a M3 over G35 anyday. M3 is in a class higher than the G imo, and this is coming from a G35 owner.

04 M3 with over 30k miles I wouldn't buy unless it has the 100k mile warranty, if not, go with a 06 G Coupe, you'll save money on maintenance. If you can get one with like 10k miles I'd definately take that over the G Coupe.

i just went through the same dilema, but i just came from an E46 328CI so i wanted a different body style so i went ahead and purchased an 06 g35C with 2,100 miles on it for the price i could've got at least an 03.5 m3 for what i paid about $35,735 that doesn't include the clear bra or the window tint i had the infiniti dealer do

if you've already owned an E46 i say go with the G, but if you haven't then i'd prob go with the ///M
