Re: clear corner security

Check the technical section. Redwillow put epoxy on his to keep them in. He posted something about it in that forum.

Re: clear corner security

I tried the zip tie thing and it didn't work for me. If you glue them in, what happens when a bulb burns out?

Here's the link. He said there's room to remove the bulb from the back.

Re: clear corner security

No offense, but will glue and/or zip ties really stop the scum who wants your clear corners?

I used the one way screws that you can buy from Orchard Supply.. works great--there is a special tool for removing it, but it is harder to find...

Re: clear corner security

I think what they're thinking is that if someone wants something off of your car they'll take it regardless of what you have to protect it. The glue or zip ties will keep them from getting them in about 1-2 seconds.

Re: clear corner security

People steal clear corners? Why?
Maybe I'm showing my age here, but what do clear corners do for you? Do they help get chicks or something?

Re: clear corner security

OMG!!! Ever since I've gotten my clears I haven't been able to get them hos to leave me alone. It's gotten to the point where I need to beat them off with a pointy stick. Chicks see clear corners and absolutely lose their mind. They just start throwing their panties into my car through the sunroof!

Kidding. Some people just like the look of clear lenses instead of the amber ones. The problem is that they pop out with such minimum effort that it would literally take a thief 10 seconds to get them both. They sell new for about $60 so they swipe them and then resell them.

Re: clear corner security

If a pair of $50 clear corners helps someone get chicks then more power to them, but do you really want that type of chick? In all seriousness though, it does clean up the look of the car. I think they look nice…

Re: clear corner security

They walk by your car, swipe your clear corners in a couple of seconds and seel them on ebay for $50. Sounds like a good day.

Re: clear corner security

I made a stupid typo ^up there^ (still instead of steal) and can't edit it from some reason (getting an error message).
I apologize...

Re: clear corner security

lol @ dem hos.
I'd rather have the peace of mind than worrying about being in prison because if I saw someone screwing with my car I'd go off the handle and might have to do society a favor by removing their existence from this earth.
