it would be very easy, but i don't ride around with the holder open all the time. I put it where I put it for simple touch and closeness to the shifter. To have to reach down into the holder isn't as seamless as it seems.

Do you know how i would wire the remote mute buttom? Would i run from my concealed display? I am not very good with wiring.

the display has a split connector for the wires to connect to...plug and play

you need a RJ-11 extention/splitter.... basically looks like two plug-ins on one side and one plug-in on the other. you need a short wire to run from the hardwire kit or another RJ-11 connector (however you have it hardwired) to connect to the extention/splitter. it will not work with a regular splitter...you need the extention/splitter
