Sorry, but i think it would be a whooping by the Z4. Those cars are pretty tight and fast.

well the 330Ci seemed to be on Par with the G in some magazines.....
the Z4 has a wider stance than the 330Ci, and 300 pounds lighter.....same HP/torque but with 6spd instead of 5 and 50/50 weight ratio... the Z4 will definitely outshine the G coupe when it comes to performance...
at a price tag that's $8,000 higher (mainly because its a convertible)
both cars have a wild and flashy, headturning, eye-candy aspect in my opinion

Re: how would the coupe hold up to a Z4 3.0?

Umm sorry, but the only Z4 that can hang with the G35 Coupe is the 3.0 Liter Z4, and even that Z4 hasnt been quoted at any faster than a 0-60 time of 5.9....And also the price difference is greater than 8,000 dollars. The G35 Coupe starts at around 29,000....And the Z4 3.0 Liter starts at 40,000....So yeah the G35 Coupe is 3/4's the price of the Z4.

And as for 0-100 The 3.0 Liter Z4 takes 16.5 seconds
G35 Coupes takes under 15 seconds.

Yeah, I've looked at the Z4's, very nice vehicles. And performance wise, I think the coupe takes it as well. The 3.0 Z4 is the only thing that might have a chance...

I'm almost positive the G35c would beat the 3.0 Z4....

It would kill a 330Ci wouldn't it?

No, it won't kill a 330, it has similar performance numbers to a 330. I love the coupe, but it's definitely not killing a 330.

They posted the comparison stats between the G and the 330 in some magazine (I have it, but forgot which one) about 2 months ago. The 330 was just barely quicker from start, but the G killed it in mid-range.

Re: how would the coupe hold up to a Z4 3.0?

not certain what you guys are smoking, but i think it would be able to take a 330Ci easily

g35 coupe /330ci

hp: 280/225
tq: 270/215
weight: 3416 /3616

so um yea, it has a hp, tq, and weight advantage......unless the hp/tq are REALLY over-stated, or BMW REALLY under-states their numbers, or the 330ci has like 6:79 gearing (haha), G35 wins

and these are the times it gives for the 330ci:
0-60 mph in 8.2 sec. 1/4-mile in 16.3 sec.

so um yea, i don't know what you guys are thinking to think that g35 coupe can't slaughter one

Where the hell are you getting your numbers man?
Those are wrong for a 330. Looks more like a 530, although, still too slow of numbers probably.

try 0-60 around 6 and quarter mile in the mid to high 14s. I think the G is faster, but your smoking crack.

If you have doubt about G35/Skyline's performance against the wimppy Z4s. You'll need to dig into its ancesstor for the history of the King of the road and who really deserve the title of the ultimate Driving machine.
