first off, airbags only deploy when they sense a specific impact, if he rolled it then sides would go off but no front unless the car hit something in the front....tha'ts how almost all cars are designed. Even if you have a front collision at a low speed they might not go off due to the conditions.

it was obviously the guys fault, get off the car manufacturers ***** about not being able to protect a person who was probably well over the triple digits....even people on tracks have to wear helmets. those airbags wouldn't have done ****.

sorry for the loss of your friend. it's unfortunate to lose someone in an accident like that at such a young age.
+10000

For all of you griping about how "safe" the G35 is. Just remember, this person was probably doing well over 100mph. There is no car on the market that is going to gurantee keeping you safe when the vehical is flipping down the highway at 100mph. Airbags are not designed for this type of accident. It wouldnt matter if 30 air bags went off. Any car pretty much ends up a pancake after flipping 9 times. Race cars have steel cages built around drivers to ensure safety for accidents at these speeds. Consumer vehicals dont.

The best safety device is common sense.

My condolences for your friend. RIP.

once i saw the first dumba$$ post the "sue" comment, i was going to quote and call him a jacka$$, or something like that. but i said to myself.. "self, read on, youre sure it gets better." and ya know what?!.. self was right! its good to see that the number of sue-happy scumbags are outnumbered by people that DONT have their head up their as$es.
not to beat a dead horse, but for the guys that suggested suing... yer all herbs!

wow man, just shows you how fast life can go. I had a kid who sat next to me in math class and he got drunk with a friend and went to drive to the store. When they were going over the bridge they lost control and flipped into the water and got killed. It was weird for the rest of the year since the seat was empty...

Sorry to hear about your loss

RIP

I never knew a car could roll 9 times within a millisecond, must be some 'Back to the Future' type sh*t. When you are talking about triple digits, nothing will save you, regardless of what kind of car youre in. Try crashing in a hummer at 100+ mph, see if you come out walking. Some people dont realize the kind of destructive power, moving vehicles have. To the OP, sorry to hear about your friend, 22 is really a young age to die at, considering im 18 myself. My condolences to his family, and his friends. But to be honest with you, the only 1 that caused his death, was himself. Be happy he didnt take out an innocent person, maybe a father, or a sister, to a different family, along with him.

Wow, I'm truly saddened for his loss. 22 is so young Tragic. Hopefully we're all thinking at least a little about this next time we turn the key (or push the button for you Intelligent Key people)

On a different note. It is liability comments like 'sue' (Infiniti) in an instance like this that remind me why our judicial system is so ruined. Common sense is no longer commonplace. It blows my mind that more and more people are incapable of bearing the burden of their own stupid decisions and try to incur the cost upon others.

If youre dumb enough to think that airbags stay inflated during a crash sequence (like rolling nine times!) then you're an idiot and your keys should be taken away.

wow, sry to hear man, but seems as if he wasnt in control of his ride, its not worth it to see how fast ur car can go all the time, its like romping on the gas from one red light to the next,

this is very sad =0(

not to sound like a jerk but what the hell is the deal with the car's air bags just to refresh your memory

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/112750-your-airbags-might-not-work.html

and his car rolled 9 times and no air bags?????? this makes me even more worried about people driving cars and expecting them to be safe

Sorry about your loss

again, how many times do we have to say, NO FRONTAL IMPACT. I don't know if anyone has ever been in a car when it's flipped multiple times but i can tell you that you don't hit hte dash, you hit the side window. airbags in front of you don't really do jack.

and, rollcage wo'nt really protect the blunt trama that your body will experience with the violent movements of the car. Also, if you aren't wearinga helmet you'll have your wigg split on that rollcage. rollcages are actually MORE dangerous in a car when you aren't wearing safety equipment.
