Blessed be - no more rattles

I finally got up the energy to take my Coupe in with a list of all the rattles I was having and try to get them taken care of while getting an oil change and the brakes replaced (under warranty just in time) . I have to admit I was expecting the worst.

The rattles were in the back seat and in the front passenger door. I filled out a small rattle form and got in my loaner (A really nice 04 Sedan w/ no rattles btw) and left with little hope of anything being done.

Got a call that night saying my car would not be done. Apparently the Infiniti engineers were working on my car rattles trying to not only fix them but diagnose them for there knowledge.

Got the car back today - and what a difference - they replaced a broken part in the rear seat belt assembly - and did something in the front passenger door (who knows what) but it did the trick.

WHATS THE POINT YOU ASK ? For all you living with rattles right now - don't take that baby in. Oh yeah and while you are there get those new brakes...

rxkeven and everyone who had problems w/ rattling from rear (tsb)... what dealer did you take your G in? anyone know a dealer in so. california that's very helpful w/ that problem? i took mine to southbay infiniti in torrance and they were not able to fix it, they told me it's coming from the license plate holder so they added additional padding... im very disappointed, have to take it to the dealer again.... thanks

I have to admit....I took mine in for the rattle issue, mine was located near the sunroof. They fixed it, but then, it seemed like a tease.....after a couple of days....it started again.

Took mine in for a single rattle: it was the rear view mirror, which was replaced, no more rattles. They are happy to correct the problem.

I bet they're happy. They bring more money into the dealership fixing stuff like that.

Re: Blessed be - no more rattles

Yea, my rear view has this annoying rattle. I need to take it in too. I had the rear deck TSB rattle fixed (somewhat), but what I found it to be was nothing more than double sided tape applied to certain areas as well as little piece of foam stuffed into the corners. It only lasted for a little while, so I stripped it all down, applied Dynamat to most of it, and the rattle was all gone!

when you said you got it back to the dealership just in time before warranty, which warranty did you mean?

I took mine in for the rattling, they said they fixed it but its worse than before now. I have to take it back to them so they can redo this. Why is this soo difficult??
