haha trust me I don't buy stuff on credit, I learned a long time ago, that if you can't pay for it with cash, then you shouldn't buy it. I was just stating that there would be extra cost into getting that turbo on your car and running. I didn't say I was going to buy it.Originally Posted by 20004DSC
If you don't have $1800 liquid you don't need to buy a turbo. There are always extra expenses that are involved in a mod of that magnitude. Play hard, but play smart.

I just got an offer for 0% for LIFE on a Balance Transfer as long as I use the CC card 3 times a month... thats a smokin credit card IMO!
Yeah, but what sucks about that is that you purchases which are at a higher interest rate, sit in the purchase category accumalting interest while your monthly payment are being applied to the balance that has a smaller interest rate. That is how most credit cards work. What I notice, if you have good credit, what a lot of people do its that a month before there promotion ends they apply for another credit card and do a balance transfer to that card and etc. I would recommend buy on credit only if you have good credit and are able to do that. It is all on you, you finances are your finances and if you dont mind then do it. People buy all sorts of stuff on credit, from car parts to stereos, couches, clothes jewlery...so what makes a car part different?Originally Posted by vstrizheus
^^ I would assume they would, which is how it usually is done. But yes I agree same as cash is a great incentive to take. Just like 0% Credit Cards!I just got an offer for 0% for LIFE on a Balance Transfer as long as I use the CC card 3 times a month... thats a smokin credit card IMO!

Or maybe the car was a gift, graduation or what have you, and the person took out a loan to hook it up... so their car payment is their mods.Originally Posted by 2EFNFAST

Thats not a bad idea at all. I know a few guys who do that.
I hate the idea of being in debt, I just got a small credit card today, but I doubt ill ever really use it, Unless I have the liquid to pay it off right away.

buying something on credit card is one thing, its not a bad thing either
....I do it a lot just so i can get reward points on my amex card which i pay off at the end of the cycle. so I only purchase things i know i can afford
taking out a loan usually means u dont have the liquid cash & probly wont have the liquid cash anytime soon ...like $350k for a house or $40k for a car
so taking out a loan for car parts is just absurd

that's what this whole thread is about. I agree though. If you go by this moto you can't justify buying car parts using a credit card and gradually paying it off either.Originally Posted by 2EFNFAST
