The only flaw I can see is when you want the rear end to slide out to take the corner faster. Then again not everyone has the skills to drive like that.
On the comparison to Ferraris, our cars are mass production daily drivers unlike ferraris. If ferrari is your ideal sports car then you should get a ferrari, if you can afford it...untill then compare apple to apple plz...

people w/o RAS will say it sucks and not worth it....
people w/ RAS will say its nice to have..
It all comes down to one thing... People with RAS have a better handling car then people w/o RAS.. period.. It doens't cost more for nothing you know..
6mt car cost more then a 5at car... why?
Get over it... It's ur fault you didnt pick the car with RAS... Don't cry about it... Probably the same people who bought a 5mt and now wished they bought a car with 6mt..
If you don't have a car with RAS, never drove in a car with RAS, then you just need to stfu... I driven my friends car who doesn't have RAS, and the difference is night and day in cornering and high speed lane changes... My car feels smoother, quicker around corner and although you really don't need it.. its a good thing to have if you have the extra 700 laying around.

Auto transmissions just cost more to make because they are much more complex with many internal cluthes and a lot of gears, plus the torque converter.... all of which will usually make any Automatic Transmission-Equipped car generally cost anywhere from $500 to $2000 more(this is just a generalization for all cars).

Haven't driven a G35 with the Rear wheel steer. I'd like to. The steering ratio is different too, right?
My opinion of these systems is mixed. I had a 1991 Stealth R/T TT when I was younger and the rear wheel steer on that car took some getting used to. High-Speed decreasing radius turns were hard to negotiate as the system would seemingly stutter with steering corrections.
I hear good things about Nissan's latest system.
Would like to see how these systems have advanced.

i persoanally dont liek RAS one bit. I was considering getting when i get an 07 sedan because im probably gettint he car in auto and itll be more of a relaxed car. But for a car that i bought to have a littel fun with, i think its terrible. When i slide the *** out on my car i know how to control it the way it is, i dont want or need my rear wheels turning.
