friend at work found an old truck 95/96 (3/4 ton) with 8k on the clock for
$5200- "BUT" (2) states away. picked it up and drove it back..no issues/problems

He looked for about 4 months

 

I dont mind going to another state to pick one up....I love road trips....because G's in California sell for a premium...how hard is it to register a car in CA?

Do i have to get a special test done for CA emmissions? Or do the newer cars have all 50 state emissions pass already?

 

I'm in the same boat you're in, I've been looking for a G for a few months now and want an 03/04 under warranty, preferably with nav 6mt for about 22k-23k. They FOR SURE go for premium in NorCal because there are so few 6mts a bunch more down south so they aren't AS inflated. I really want an IP with black leather, with nav and 6mt; but that's like finding a g-d damn unicorn. Should I just wait for the 08 and work my *** off to finance it( I'm really starting to consider it)

 

hahahahahah OMG....its like i have a twin in Nor Cal. Yes I too want an IP with black leather and 6MT. dont care much for navi (would be nice) but I would get an aftermarket one anyway.....your not indian are you? hahaha

Thanks! I searched my a$$ off for over a month....finally found the car at a Toyota dealer in Charleston, SC. They had it priced at $28.8. I work for a Nissan dealer here in Asheville, so I had my GSM call to see what they'd sell the car "dealer to dealer" for.....they dropped all the way to $25.5. I was SHOCKED. Couldn't get in the car to go get it fast enough. Only thing wrong was some minor curb rash on the driver's side front rim. Got that fixed for $75.

 

I just made a deal in socal today for an DG 04 6MT coupe with 12k miles for 26k. Looks to be in great shape. No nav unfortunately though. Hope to pick it up this weekend after the paperwork is sorted out.
