How to make the car a bit lighter for the track!

This wednesday im going to LACR, and i've been challenged by an IS350 who is really confident in taking a g35. Im sure this will be more of a drivers race. What can I do to make my car as light as I can without doing to much before we go to the track?

For starters It is taking out the:

1. Spare tire
2. Jack
3. Floor mats
4. Go potty

Any other suggestions? please just add on 5 6 7...

Will this be a drag race or a road race?

If this is just a couple 1/4 mile runs then you could have just a little gas in the tank and you could take out the back seats.

Also, start running around the block and lose the belly, lol

Oh, I almost forgot, take out your radio, drop the rear bumper, remove hood etc...

I'd suggest removing the rear seat (both pieces). Haven't done it personally, but I hear it's not to difficult at all. That's about it without getting too involved...

+1. the G is just a heavy car. There isn't much you can do about that. The only other suggestion I could give to you would be to take out your rear seat and purchase racing buckets (only if you are serious do this). i would say learn to drive better and then step up the engine and suspension mods.

you could get ultra light 17" wheels.

reducing rotational mass will do more for performance than a lot of mods.

And come on... do you really need brake rotors?

haha good luck.
