Angry So Someone Hits My Car....

Man, I'm so pissed off right now.

Today, I get to school probably good half hour early before my classes start. I park next to my friend as the usual..as more people are parking, I walk away from my car to hang out with some people before anything. All of a sudden I see a car pull behind my car kinda "too close." I see them pointing and laughing; I figured they were just laughing about the Skyline badging. Until I realized when I walked back to my car, he litterally hit my car. He dropped his car on neutral and litterally hit my rear bumper and scratched it. I yelled at him to get back in the parking lot, he just laughed at me and said my car was a piece of **** anyways. I got heated more and the more he laughed. Caused a big scene before classes even started, so he finally just said sorry and gave his insurance claim # number and everything.

At this point, I was thinking of just reporting him to my school for hitting a car and reporting this to my insurance (full coverage with State Farm, but some of you might have remembered my SF didn't bother paying for my windshield damage until my Service Manager had a talk with them) or just finding out how much a OEM bumper costs and make him pay half the price of one so I can get the minor scratches buffed out.

Anyone know what I should really do? His insurance is some small company one. He's not even from my state, he's from Michigan. I never knew there are so many a$$holes at Universal Technical Institute in my life...ahhhhhhh!!!!

He drives a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix. And he was telling the G was a POS? You should've seen how bad his car looked. Right now I'm just thinking that I shouldn't report this and just handle it on the side by making him pay half the price of the cost of a bumper. I'm just wondering if he'll even abide by that. I don't get it. I've been in that school long enough to at least know everyone litterally already and this douche decides to pull this one off. Thats the first time someone ever did that and even laughed at me. WTF man

dont worry man there are haters everywhere. if i were you i would get him to pay for a new bumper, all of it not just half, and if he doesnt want to do that goto his insurance. if none of those work, grab a ski mask and a bat...jk but hope he pays. gl

*always* go through insurance if it's not your fault. What guarantees that he's going to pay you? Nothing. What if you get an estimate and then the final cost is a few extra hundred and the guy says, ah no way that's too much?

You got his insurance info, which is good. Call your insurance and let them handle the whole thing. If you try to do this on your own, you might have a lot of headache if the guy doesn't cooperate. That's specially true if he was giving you a hard time in the beginning.

Edit: It probably won't raise your premium since you weren't driving the car at the time, but you should check.
