Accident.. G is down for the count..

man.. las nite, i was heading over to pick up a buddy of mine around midnight and it was pouring.. anyways, i was on 85S (Bay Area, CA) and i was goin along.. i knew it was pretti slick so i didn't drive that fast.. anyhow, this civic was entering the freeway and i was in the middle lane.. some reason he decided to cut into my lane, as if he didn't see me so i moved out of the way to avoid him and i guess i hit some major water puddle and i spun 2 times.. i hit the middle divider head on and the air bags came out..

assessment of damage:
front end is literalli gone.. hood jacked.. headlight housings gone.. bumper still lying on the side of the highway..
passenger door dented in..
rear bumper slashed almost in half..
frame seems bent..

ugh.. i jus got hit about 10 months ago in my accord, and man, this time was scary as hell..

personal injury:
nothing realli, except my left hand is pretti bruised cause it was slammed into the steering wheel..

oh wells.. damage seems pretti high, but i'm not sure if they'll consider this a total loss.. if they do, i'll get another one.. but if they wanna repair it, gonna trade-it in for sth else.. i realli loved my G and enjoyed every moment driving in it..

anyways, this is a side issue, but lately i've been having some personal problems and i thought it was jus the biggest deal in the world, but this thing realli scared me and shiet, in the big scope of life, my problems were so miniscule.. either way, jus wanna say drive safe out there and live life to the fullest..

btw, i will post pics if i get them, but i've been thinking about whether or not that's realli good.. i kno ppl have posted in the past and it's not the best thing to see..

TINMAN - you've got the car but do you have 1/2 a woman or 50% of the money you want.

1/2 of three things is 1.5 things...

Sounds like you've been getting a bad shake lately bro. Sorry to hear that. Good thing you were in a G to protect you, or you may not be here to tell us about it. Don't worry about the car. By what you've said, the insurance will write it off and you'll get a brand new one.
Keep your chin up and if you need to talk about other issues too, you know where your 'G' friends are.
If you are comfortable posting the pics, then do so. We might get some idea as to whether it's a write-off or not.
Be safe...

DAMN..!!! sorry to hear that..i hope everything turns out ok..well i know my story doesn't really compare but three days after i got my coupe i was at the movies and after it finished i go outside and turn on my g and it started making a weird sound..i got out and saw that some assh*le put paper bags in my mufflers..but it does not end there..on my way home that same night since i live near a small mountain i am traveling at 30mph and some deer just flies in front of my car and i slam on the brakes an still manage to hit it hard enough for it to fly about 25ft in front of me it then simply got up and kept running...i sat in my car for like 3 minutes in shock and wondering how bad the damage to the car and when i checked there was a decent size dent on the hood and my grill was broken..$500 for fixing the hood and painting it and $170 for a new grill from my dealer...talk about bad luck...but fortunately it wasn't worst...like i said it does not compare to your accident but good luck with everything

In the bigger scope as you said, it's only a car. Thank goodness you are OK. BTW, what happened to the Civic? Guess they just kept on going.

Ugh, so sorry to hear about the (probable) loss of your G. It’s good to hear that it protected you and that you’re ok. Maybe I missed this, but was your VDC on? If you take pics I’d be interested in seeing the damage and how the G took it.

Sorry to hear it, man. I had an accident a while back, and it wasn't a pretty situation. At least you walked away without a scratch... did the Civic driver stop?

Re: Accident.. G is down for the count..

your damage sounds awful and to come away from all that with a bruised hand seems almost miraculous. this makes me trust the safety of these cars even more. sorry to hear about your accident, and i hope that you get things squared away soon. you may not have your G for the holidays, but your family and friends still have you. take care liu69.
