Check Engine!!! WTH!

Great,
I start driving to work today and the check engine light comes on, the car is vibrating and I hear some weird noises coming out of the engine.

What the hell can this be? I had the oil changed two days ago and it is at the proper level.

The worst part is I can't take it to the dealer until I find time to take the spacer off.

Sounds like they forgot to tighten something up...

Damn that sucks..Hopefully its nothing big. It should be something the dealer forgot to do considering it was only there two days ago.

I took it in once for pinging and they would not touch it with the spacer on. They claimed it would throw all their readings off.

The dealer did not change the oil either.

Yes, the oil level looks good and I do not see anything unusual under the hood.

As far as the spacer, can somebody tell me, is it just a matter of removing the bolts, removing the spacer and replacing the original shorter bolts?

Do I need to buy a new gasket or anything else I may have over looked?

Thanks.

I dont think you need a new gasket just make sure you torque the screws right

yes they are. my car was at the dealer collision center for 5 days, then they decided that they didn't want to risk putting on my aftermarket bumper. All they needed to do was some simple modifications and paint the dang thing.

I'm not sure what an "oil lever" is. Do you mean filter?

I did look it over, but need to recheck again. The job is consuming all my time, so for now it is sitting there while I drive my truck.

I did hit a big pot hole on my way back from NYC, I don't think that could have caused these symptoms though.
