Aluminum Sport Pedals
Aluminum Sport Pedals
In several of the adds and brocheres I found for the my car I can see what appears to be Aluminum Sport Clutch, Brake, and Accelerator pedals. When I purchased the car I noticed they are not there. The sales poeple said it was not and option on any models of the coupe and that infiniti had decided to leave them off the vehicle when it hit the market. They look similiar to the ones I have seen on the 350z. Did anyone actually have them or the option for them on their car? Thanks.
Re: Aluminum Sport Pedals
I got the 350Z pedals. They fit just fine. I'd be curious to know how the G35 pedals are different, as the 350Z deadpedal was a direct replacement, as were all the other 3. I think they look very clean and sporty.

Re: Aluminum Sport Pedals
I'm not saying that the 350Z pedals won't work, just that now that Infiniti has G35 pedals wouldn't you really rather want pedals for your car that are supposed to be in your car? Sure the 350Z pedals are better than nothing or better than say trying to put some aftermarket or heaven forbid Honda pedals in the G35, just letting everyone know that you don't have to go the 350Z route anymore.

Do you really think there will be any differences? They are from Nissan.
The ones I saw at my local dealer were the same as the ones I bought from Courtesy Nissan.
The ones in the pre production G & Z were the same.

Yes, I think they'll be a little different and a little less expensive, but decide for yourself after you see the pics, etc. Again, I really don't care which you buy, only letting people know that they can get them from Infiniti now. It's all good...

I don't recall exactly what the drilled pedals looked like on the G35 demos that made the dealer circuit back in August-October, but I think the 350Z pedals are almost exactly the same. I personally would call them "made for the car" because they are direct replacements with no drilling or modifying. It really comes down to personal taste. I haven't even seen the G35 pedals yet, so if anybody has a picture, please enlighten me. I guess the only reason I responded was your All-caps response of "DON'T BUY THE 350Z pedals." You just seemed to be indiciating that they were somehow inferior or something, when it's really just a matter of taste. To each his own.

Look at Rides under Obsidian for pedal pics. 350Z pedals and G35 Pedals are the exact same. However in order for the gas pedal to fit you need a clip and bushing to secure it to the pedal base. This would be the case for either Nissan or Infiniti.

Re: Aluminum Sport Pedals
The clip can be cut off the old gas pedal if it is removed properly. Just get a utility knife, andcut the clip at the crease. It'll snap right onto the metal pedal just fine. For the bushing, either buy a bushing at Home Depot or something, or I just wrapped the accelerator bar with Electrical tape until it was the right thickness. It's worked fine so far.

Pedals and bushings came in today I'll try to post pictures with part numbers tomorrow. Do you have part numbers for the Z pedals? The set for the 5AT including the dead pedal was about $80 with shipping.
