shift ****

i removed my shift **** to install my short shifter.. now i dont really know how to put it back properly.. there is a copper metal ring and a rubber ring.. which goes on first?? do you put it on the shifter then twist the **** on.. or do you put it inside the ****.. any help is appreciated.. thanks

as for the rubber ring, I just pushed it back into the **** itself before screwing it back on because its supposed to be there either way.

metal ring first, the the rubber ring should be next (aka the **** itself)

Doing installs is kinda like the old days when you took a carb apart. You lay
thing out in the order you remove them. That way when you're putting it
back togeather it's a simple process. Since you have the short throw shifter
you should do a search and check out some of the cool aftermarket *****
available from people like Momo and others!
