Two Problems with my Car

So before I make the 100 mile trip to the dealer, I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same problems I have.

First, when I put the window down, using the one touch option, there is a loud thud (Sounds like glass hitting the buttom of the door) when it goes down. I am thinking maybe the bump stop on the window track is broken?

Next, when idling, the the tranny feels like it's trying to catch, and then it makes a little click/catch sound. Car does not stall, it just keeps making the noise and the gear shift moves. I am thinking throw out bearing maybe.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Not to get into long descriptions of what the possible problems are, those are definitely not normal symptoms you describe.

Gas her up and go to Dealer, imo.

ive heard a bit of both. Most people say their nissan dealer wont touch it but there are people who have had their nissan dealers do work. A simple phone call is the best option.

And YES I have had experiences with several Nissan dealerships in the past 5 years. They are all the same. Incompetent!

ok man... the G's drivetrain is the same exact drivetrain as the Z. im not syaign you havent had bad experiences at nissan but i wouldnt generalize the whole bunch however infiniti's service is almost always better...

some people have had nissan do warranty work but they are ones who live too far from the closest infiniti dealer... a call to corporate would get the job done but i would call from a nissan dealer so they know whats going on.

Yea I tried the nissan dealer, and they will do the work, and the guys are really good here in Bloomington, but they would not honor the warranty from infiinti. So I am going to call Infiniti dealer and stup a time for them to look at the window.

Thanks people..

It was there when I had 70,000 miles (stock clutch) The sound is present on my '06 G35c too. It's normal, trust me. Every Z I have been around has that noise. It's a hiccup type noise, the harder you drive you car the louder it gets
+1 on the throwout bearing. If a 6MT owner tells you that they don't have that sound with stock clutch, then they probably aren't listening properly.

As for the window rolling down, well I would have to hear it to tell you if I think it's OK. I think mine makes a sound at the bottom also, but it just sounds like it's getting to the stop to me, not like somethings broken or loose.
