Re: MY G GOT HIT

Let's just agree that he got hit by a dumba$$ and leave it at that. Too many dumba$$s on the road that shouldn't be there. Probably a good idea before we post though to be a bit more thoughtful re possible PC infractions. In general though, G35Driver is pretty clean and flame free. At least we can discuss like adults and apologize as necessary, a good thing to see.

Thanks guys ! Thanks for all of your kind words of support. I think that me and the G will get over this. Maybe I can work out a way to fet some new wheels out of this. Wouldn't that be great. I have to replace at least one wheel. Yes Mr. Bodyshop man those wheels came from Ray's in Japan

Re: MY G GOT HIT

Yeah man, I feel for you too!
I would go nuts if my G got hit...
Anyways, if I were you, I would make the best out of the situation, and place any 'mods' you wanted onto the car, while it's being repaired. That way, it would seem as though the time u parted with your G (while it was in repairs) was worthwhile!

best of luck,
b0h

Re: MY G GOT HIT

Here's hoping you have full coverage. Your G35 can be fixed or replaced.

How are you? We were rear-ended at a 4-way stop in the middle of the flat desert, go figure. My wife's Jeep came out of it okay, about $600 to replace and repaint the rear bumper. It took ten months and about a grand in medical expenses before her shoulder stopped hurting.

The guy that hit us also classifies as a dumb@$$. Said something about his baby crying in the back, so he wasn't watching the road. We copied down his driver's license info and the car's plates and description, then he borrowed my cell phone to call his wife, and decided to leave before the police arrived. We happily gave everything we had to them.. license plate, DL number, address, and phone number (from my cell). They headed over to pay him a little visit after they were done talking to us. He had no insurance, and it wasn't even his car. Thankfully, we have full coverage, including uninsured motorist. They even paid off our excess medical co-pays and fees, though it did take about 3 weeks for the police to actually file the report and get a copy to the insurance company. I had to front the deductible until they got that.

May you and your G have a speedy recovery.

Re: MY G GOT HIT

hmmm.... and here I thought you'd be forced to pay for damages you costed whether you have licence/insurance or not.... shouldn't the cops make that @$$hole's parents pay for your damage??? I know insurance companies make tons of money and are not exactly saints, but I'd hate to see the guy getting away with it simply because he's under aged....

Re: MY G GOT HIT

All the cops can do is give him a ticket. If he doesn't have insurance and isn't willing to pay, it's up to you and/or your insurance company to sue his parents. At that point, it becomes a matter of how much damage did he do to the car, and how much is it going to cost to try and recoupe that via court. Sometimes they get away with it simply because the attorney costs more than the car repair. The insurance companies will sue if they think it's worth the effort, or let it slide if they think it's a waste of time.

Actually, if he's under 16 and (obviously) driving w/o a license, I'd think there are other things the police can do.. cite the parents, impound the car, I'm not sure.

Re: MY G GOT HIT

ha ha ha, yeah, get that medical payment from his insurance....

by the way, if you sue his parents and win, doesn't his parents have to pay for your lawyer and expenses as well???
