popping sound - right rear

Anyone have a popping sound coming out of the right rear during right hand turns - seems to be primarily into right hand driveways where there is lots of right rear wheel travel. Sounds like someone gives the right rear side of the car a good "flick". Can make it happen when I throw the car left before entering a driveway on the right.
Even had the factory people work on it - re-torqued the axle, etc.

Check to see if your jack, tire iron, etc is secure. It is located in the right rear. You might save some embarrasment at the dealership.

I had a similar thing going on in my coupe but it occurred when going over rough pavement or bumps. Sounded more like a ticking rattle. The culprit was some flange bolts or nuts that had come loose. I can imagine that if they became real loose, they might make more of a popping sound.

wow, sorry to revive such an old thread. what do you mean by "flange bolts or nuts?" i've read about so many people having a popping noise coming from the passenger rear when hitting bumps. no one has come up with a real solution.
