Dome light size

I am planning to change my dome lights to white, but I have no clue what size I should get. Does anyone know the dome light size for G35C??

Re: Dome light size

Polarg size will be M-16
Standard size reference is 3022
You should also change the courtesy light by the door; size is 194 wedge type (same as clear corners)
The dome light I don't use much since because they are too bright but courtesy door light is always ON when you open the door and changing them to super white looks really nice~

Re: Dome light size

i ordered the piaa t-6 extreme white light bulbs for the map and door lights. the piaa lights are 10 watts and the owners manual says that the ones in the map light are 8 watts which shouldnt be that big of a deal only 2 more watts. the ones in the door though are 5 watts. this is from my other post. the door lights are not 194 wedge bulbs but are the same as the dome/map light. i have been runnin them now for a while with no problem. i would definately suggest changing out the doors to be the same as the map lights it will look better. overall i am very happy with the setup, it is much brighter and looks a looks better.

Re: Dome light size

Hmmm . . . I always thought the dome (map) lights were pretty white already. Anyone try to change them out? Are they easy to replace?

Re: Dome light size

Will, do you take the lense out to replace the bulb? If so is there a trick to it? I didn't find an easy way to pop mine out.

Re: Dome light size

Yes,
Take a butter knife wrap a tissue or another thin cloth around it and place it in the side in center and pry towards the window, if that makes any sense. I found putting them back on was a little more difficult than getting them off. I believe there is a picture in the manual that shows how to do it, or there may be one on here. Im sure it will be faster just to get the manual out though.

Re: Dome light size

Just thought I'd make my contribution to the lighting resources...
I definitely had some trouble putting the light cover back on. seemed like one side just would get into the right place and even though I got it on a couple of times it would let you press down on it anymore.

anyway here is a pic.... Dome Light on the left (31mmx10mm)
and a Wedge 168 bulb (side marker + trunk) on the right for comparison.

Re: Dome light size

can anyone confirm if the courtesy/step lights are the same size and type?
I tried my best but just couldn't get the darn cover off...

well it didn't help that it dark out and ground is wet from rainning all day...

I am thinking of ordering from www.superbrightleds.com
anyone have experience with them?
