same problem with mine after waxing the car, when the car dries up the remaining wax on the rubber lining squeaks against the body, just get either wd40 or armor all vinyl cleaner and wipe the outside rubber to recondition it..

Re: anyone else's sunroof squeak?

I have been in for service on this a few times. I have cleaned any and all wax off the body and seal, and service used their silicon spray (wiped on, it will stain paint). It lasted 2 weeks each time. Mine is dry rotted or so it seems. Appearently Infiniti agrees, I get a new sunroof on Thursday. Of course I'm worried about scratches getting it replaced, and I think if its the same rubber, I will have the noise in 3 months like i did when the car was newer. : / But if they are willing to do this much to solve it, I'll go along with it. will report how it goes.

Re: anyone else's sunroof squeak?

Keep me informed. Whenever I tilt my sunroof, it makes not a sqeak noise....but more of a fart noise (i'm actually serious...that is the closest noise I can thing of).

Re: anyone else's sunroof squeak?

My G is almost 4 months old and just developed the tilting sunroof fart/squeak. I'm going to try to condition the rubber as suggested above. If that doesn't work it's off to the dealership.

Re: anyone else's sunroof squeak?

the TSB ITB03-052 covers using silicon on the seal and what stuff to use (its a locally sourced 3M product). Its a general squeak/rattle TSB for coupe. PM if you need it.

I ordered the 3M silicone lube in the TSB online and clean the rubber seal then apply the silicone lube. Works for a few months before I have to do it again

use 3M Silicone Lubricant (Dry Type), 08897 or 3M Silicone Lubricant Plus (Wet Type), 08877 are good, I prefer the dry type as it cleaner to apply.on all rubber seals and does not stain...these are about $8 for the can.
