Problem with my Car

For some reason in my 6MT, whenever I switch gears, I let go of the clutch, step on the pedal, and if I step on it hard, then it will just rev to very high RPM's. Then the Clutch smells like its burining, it doesnt feel like it catches in gear right away. Can anyone tell me wahts wrong?

Sounds like your clutch is slipping . . . It's time for a new clutch.

if it was just one time then it wont really affect the clutch at all. Unless you revved high and kept it there..

To test for a slipping clutch, try putting it in 6th going slow (under 35). If the engine just revs, then you have a slipping clutch.

You should buy the after market one... It will last longer than the OEM.

Well there are the name brands...exedy and so forth. I would deffinitely get one of those. Price all depends on what you get, they can go up to 2k for some full out race clutches. Basic clutches can run you around 600 or so,but they will last a lot longer. ACT makes a few in that range.

Teah dont go with an oem clutch, and I wouldnt let Infiniti do the labor they charge an arm and a leg. As long as you take it somewhere you can trust you should be fine. And I really like exedy but I have heard good things about JWT and ACT also, just do your research to find out what your looking for in a clutch.

well I dont have much of a Choice now, I kept driving my car, and my clutch gave way. Had to have it towed to Infiniti....

This car also has 53k Miles on it, and I probably wont keep it for more than 30k more miles
