Air mass sensor / intake engine not reving

hey i got a quick question. i picked up a g35 and the intake is missing including the air mass sensor. it starts and runs, but when i try to rev it up or get on it, it bogs down and doesnt let me rev period. can the lack of an air mass sensor be responsible for this, or is it something else?

It would be great if someone here could just go to their car for 2 mins and unplug the airmass switch on their intake real quick and try to rev it and tell me how it reacts.

thanks guys.

lol yes that has a lot to do with it. Search on my350z.com, I beleive that was someone selling one for around $100, its about $450 from the dealership I believe.

HOW OR WHY DID YOU BUY A G35 WITH NO INTAKE, THAT DOESNT EVEN DRIVE NORMAL?

i didn't even think i would run! i remember when the first time i installed a CAI and placed the sensor backward, it would start up, bogs, than die.

wait wait you got a g35 for half off because of no intake or mass airflow sensor. Sounds fishy, ur gonna have to use the search button like the rest of us!

Welcome to the forum.

In the future take a closer look at how old threads are before you bump them to buy something. It's 2.5 years old, I highly doubt the part is still in question, but even if it was you should notice he was referring to someone else selling the part on my350.

Check the marketplace if you need an intake.
