Your right, maybe it's just I don't like interior work much. I did install my plenum spacer and recently changed my brake pads and rotors, but I'm picky about that stuff...

heh, hey props to you, i've known a few members who are so proud of their 'show cars' that have never turned a screw but swiped a card for their car...its like being proud of your child but having some pro come knock up your wife

Lets put it this way, I don't own a G and I replaced my brothers for a fee of $20 ahah. So easy man. Take off the bottom of the glove compartment and the right panel. Hard to explain since I dont look at a G every day.
Thanks!

Before giving money to Autoparts Warehouse (Generally they have good prices) check your local Autozone or Pep Boys. I had to replace the in cabin filter for my Tahoe and Autoparts Warehouse was $20 for one filter plus tax and shipping. Chevy wants $79 but that's for 2 filters. I didn't realize the Tahoe had 2 filters until I took it out. I went to Pep Boys and paid $17.00 for 2 filters and they are Purolator.

I thought you were going to say it's like dumping your baby off at day care, but I like your analogy better.

I replaced my filter after about 10,000 miles and due to a crappy stink upon initial starting of the A/C. I went for the carbon type and had it installed by the dealer. The smell never came back and it's been almost 3 years.

Thanks for the responses. I'll plan to head over to autozone to see what they charge, followed by a trip to the Nissan dealer for their price plus installation to see if it's worth it.

One question, is the filter for the coupe a common part shared by other Infiniti or Nissan models, or is it unique to the G35 coupe?

Dealer screwed me on it, charged $45 for the filter itself it and it isn't charcoal type.

Yes it is simple to change it, do it once and you will wonder why in the hell did you pay somebody before. Takes longer to drive down to dealership than it takes to change it yourself.
