Not necessarily because i think i remember my salesman saying i
get free oil changes for a year or until a certain mileage has
been reached on my car. What johnny said might be true but
i might have only gotten it for free for some other reason.

There is no free "factory" oil changes, however individual dealerships might offer it to enitce customers to buy cars from them.

its a dealer thing not a factory warranty thing, maybe you should have paid more attention while signing the contracts, do you even know how much you owe?

First car at 16 is $35K and your dad doesn't even at least teach you about the process of buying it. How inspirational.

Back on topic. It's a dealer-by-dealer basis. IMO, the time it takes to bring the car in to the dealership, wait for the oil change, and hope they don't screw something up, isn't worth the $30 it would have cost me to DIY, but you probably don't have anyone to teach you how to do your own oil change anyways.
