From Z to G...
Hi All!
I am excited to say that I am now back in "the game"
I will offically be an owner of a 04 DG 6MT C later this evening .
I previously owned a 03 PPW Touring Z.
My excitment is without description. I hope that I will be able to offer this forum some valuable expereince and opinions as I have owned and driven both cars.
My story starts back in the summer of 2003 when my eye was caught by this incredible white car at the nissan dealer(erie, pa) I had not even heard of such a car but after a test drive i was sold, literally the next morning i came and picked my ride.
Well as marriage comes so does comprimise, and as such my baby Z(which only had 8 miles when i bought) had to go.
But at last COMPRIMISE has come afront, and so far I am in least disapointed.
I figured that the back seats on the G are small enough to not hinder my sports car taste, plus it sold my wife.
My first impressions are:
1) The Z is nice but has a little to much youth appeal.
2) Even being slighty longer the G is not much slower than Z, and in fact the difference is quite negilble.
3) The G holds it value better and the insurance is lower.
4) The G is much much much more comfortable then the Z.
The biggest lesson learned is to not buy new, whats the point? I will let some other sucker(used to be me) take the hit. I know I know....
My dealer is great and besides one beligerent salesman, we have received the platinum treatment, if you will.
2 years oil changes
4 detail sessions
free loaner car( some dealers do and others dont)
dinner while waiting
and just a impressive amount of personal attention from the salesmen to the general manager.
I will post pics later in the weekend.
I look forward to the interaction and all the comments, i hope to learn from you vetern G owners.
Later Mike

I posted this at 350z.com, but I can remember the first time in my Z.
It was unreal. The entire expereince, was great. Getting into the proper driver postion with seat and steering wheel adjusted, turning on the car and all the dash lights come alive. The sight of the HID's focus and brighten.
The whole thing was great, truly.

Congrats!!! One bit of advice, DO NOT EVER do any of the free car washes the dealership offers, they will jack up your paint and it's sooo not work it. I'm a detail FREAK as anyone in Chicago will tell you, so if you ever have any detailing questions just hit me up!
