Re: CAI Sound?

The Nismo sounds very good. I don't think there's a lot of difference between the sounds of the different cai's.

Re: CAI Sound?

The injen will give u the most the gain as far as HP but it lacks a bypass valvue. The Nismo is good but i think its kinda over priced, i personaly would go with the K&N or forget the whole CAI idea and get a POP charger.

Re: CAI Sound?

Go for the K&N and get a 3" AeM bypass valve installed on it. Thats what I did and I love it.

Re: CAI Sound?

you don't need a bypass valve for the pop charger.

The Cold air intake runs all the way to the bottom of the engine, next to the front bumper. That area could be flooded, so a bypass valve is a good idea.

but the pop charger sits right on top of the engine, if that gets flooded, well, you better learn how to swim

Re: CAI Sound?

The Nismo sounds awesome. There are audio clips of both stock and Nismo intakes on the link in my sig. There is also a video drive-by so you can hear how it sounds under load (even better). That site is also a comprehensive do-it-yourself install guide for the Nismo intake.

Here's a link to a place that sells the Nismo intake for $279.
