My Horrific Mess of a story

Well guys, I haven't really posted many things on here but I definitely have read numerous threads and have learned a lot from everyone on here. Here is my story.... I bought an 04 G35 coupe with 33k on it about 4 months ago. I did NOT buy it from an infiniti dealer, not for any reason I just thought I liked this other one better somewhere else. I bought from Auto Quest down in Seattle, considering they only deal with nice fancy cars, I assumed they had good cars. Except for mine apparently. My salesman told me it was an amazing car in perfect condition...never been hit or wrecked and the 30k service has been completed with no issues. He claimed it was in perfect condition. Keep in mind I am interested in cars but I do not know much about them...
A few days ago I take my G to the dealership to have the coolant looked at and fixed because I bought the extended warranty, so it should be covered. Little did I know when they looked underneath the car, it was all f*cked up. The front left fender had been replaced, my gas tank was smashed in, parts are missing, and an entire piece of my suspension is being held on by a freakin zip tie. From our assumptions, it looks like it was hit and thrown into a ditch.
At this point I called my salesman and asked him again if the car has been wrecked or hit. He said no. I asked about the 30k service that was done (which was not) and he claims it was done for sure but has no computer records, he said it was hand written!!! At this point I am contacting my lawyer to see if we have a case to get everything I payed for this car back. Anyways...I thought I would share my story and remind you guys to not trust anyone!!!

-Kyle

Wow, that's horrible. I would assume that you definitely have a legal case here. Let us know how it turns out.

Hammer the bastards!

I could not believe some of the laws that favor car dealers and mechanics. In Texas, even if a mechanic doesn't fix your car to your specs, you still MUST pay him or he can hold your car and sell it. Your only recourse is to sue.

shiet you and me both man!! i bought my car from a used car dealership not an infiniti dealership! i bought it 4 months ago it was an 04Gcoupe with only 25,500 miles! for $23,995...so after like 1 month of driving i started hearing a squeaking noise when i go over the littlest bumps and i hear axle clicking so i take it to the infiniti dealership and i told them my story and said my car has been in a front impact accident and the right passanger fender was hit! the used dealershipp i bought the car from said that my car was clean and i did check the carfax report and it didnt have any accidents reported! so from now on i never trust car fax or small used car dealerships!!!!

Thats a terrible story, Im sorry. However why didnt you inspect the car before hand. You have to look at body lines, feel the paint. See if its discolored. Look underneath the car, check that the tires are the same and are worn correctly. Pop the hood, a slighlty dirty engine is ok in my book. A perfectly clean one that I can tell the owner wasnt a "car guy" really scares me, tells me that someone else was under there doin something.

Frankly I would never blindly buy a used car. At the very least, bring a friend that knows cars or ask to have it looked at by a dealership and pay the $100 bucks.

Sorry to hear about that.
Yeah i bought mine a year ago they told me up front that it had been in a fender bender and that they repainted some things. Also you should have taken it to the nearest infiniti dealer and went in for a used car, pre-purchase inspection. Thats what i did and if you give them the vin they'll give you a copy of the history. Live and learn
