well i have to agree 100% with MrElussive...
for the manumatic mode, you are sacrifice "smoothness" for a "faster shifting"... and sometimes you get jerks/thumps shifting 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st obviously due to gear ratios... and don't sweat about it... it's normal and won't hurt your engine/tranny...
and also for the brakes, try high pressure water and if still squeeks then have the dealer check it... but i highly doubt there's something wrong with brakes with only 881miles on it.. mostly brake dusts stuck on pads/rotors...

I just started squealing around 18,000 miles. It would seem that the rotors are okay and the brake pads look like they're good. Isn't it only a problem if they squeal while driving not while braking...although it is annoying to be braking and squealing.

My G had sqealing brakes and they replaced the pads in my oil service. The squealing breaks haunt me though... Had the same problem with a BMW I had. I think I changed the break pads about six times before I traded it in.

I try not to use my brakes and just downshift as much as possible latley...my brembos have been squealing for about 4-5 days now, only from the front right wheel. I just dont hit the brakes hard enough to make them unless I have to....hehe I love 6 speeds. Anyway, I'll have it looked at when I go for my new spoiler and front bumper at the Infiniti dealership, hopefully I'll find out whats wrong.

Took me until 8,200 miles till I heard my first sqeak..washed my car and now its gone. Also the MM shifting is normal as everyone else has said.

MM shifting will get better with time and once you get used to what are the optimum shift points according to your speed. My shifting also got smoother when I installed my grounding kit.

I've noticed the brake pads they put on the Gs produce a lot of brake dust. A LOT more than my previous car where I had the Metal Matrix pads.

Re: Well Guys 881 Miles on my G35c...Squeeling breaks!

My car's at 7000 miles and the brakes did sqeak a little bit in extreme cold weather. It seem to have subsided but does come back once in a while. I'm not too worried since Infiniti will replace it if it does go bad. I actually hope my brakes reach "replaceable" condition soon so I can get some (hopefully better) new pads installed.

I had the same problem. Screeching from 5mph to 0mph. I received a letter from Infiniti & was allowed to get service for the noise. The dealer replaced the rear rotors & pads. Noise was still there. About 2 weeks ago I took back to the dealer & there was a new fix out for the front brakes. They replaced some sort of plate that attaches to the front pads. Silence at last!!!! I have the auto, I dont know if the Brembos are covered for this service campaign. If you need any more info, I can give you the number to my service tech. Just let me know.
