Aww man should I have gotten 6MT? -_-

Haha well as the topic says I am regretting getting my 5AT now. I recently have learned how to drive stick with a couple of my good buddies cars. Started about 3 months ago and just got really good at it. As I got better and better I was regretting getting 5AT but I have heard some rumors that 6MT on the G35 is a bit annoying. Is this true?

Im just asking to know the truth really as my car is a lease and it is going back in about 5 months. My next car for sure will be stick though...so ye...is what I really hear about the 6MT for G35's true?

Yes, it's true. They are a dream to drive. I went from being a couch potato playing Xbox to looking for reasons to go for a drive...

Need anything from the store, dear?

I like my auto.

I like to think of it as a piece of advanced technology. (I'm talking about manual mode)

sure it sux ***** compare to manual, but once in a while (pretty often actually) My hands are busy doing something else (my wife loves it)

And you can still give MT good run when you are in manual mode.

Yeah I went from a 2003 5AT sedan to a 2006 6MT coupe and compared to the auto its awesome. I love driving my car so much more because you can feel the gears in the shifter. The auto you couldn't feel a thing in the shift **** in manumatic. It shifted so smooth it almost reminded me of a Lexus. The most fun I could have with the 5AT was flooring it and the automatic transmission did the rest. Manumatic was so delayed it wasn't funny. I will never go back to auto until I'm old and driving a crown vic which will never happen. This is coming from someone who owned BOTH go with the 6MT you wont regret it.

Why? I have an '04 6MT and it's awesome.

6MT FTW... I've driven manuals my whole life and will probably never own an automatic for myself.

haha. So all the bltching about traffic, not being able to hold hands with your girl, and the headaches of driving a 6mt, all the hassles VIRTUALLY dissappeared right after you learned how to drive one.

Personally I think anyone that does not have a 6mt is missing out. It's a whole different driving experience, you have more control over the car. Yeah the G's 6mt is not the easiest clutch to master but it's by no means difficult.
