I have met with and spoke to Ducati in person and at length, he is a great guy. None of this fits his character. Like I said, lets hope nothing happened to him.

There are several posts on this position so here's mine. It is about business first, because a transaction was made. So you have every right to expect your grill and I think you have been very careful in your comments because of the respect many people have for ducatiguy. The bottom line is that business first concern second. As far as concern for him, I can understand that, because quick judgement is often very harmful. If there is a genuine concern for his well being then someone with power and authority should be made aware. He could very well be hurt or something, but it is time to stop the speculation and for those who are his friend to let someone know there is a problem. Further a girlfriend showed
up explaining what happened and his whereabouts. If nothing further came from this, then something is definitely not right and this problem needs to be brought to the attention of someone with power and authority to resolve it. By doing it this way the grill problem can be resolved and Ducatiguy can get help that may possibly needed.

I have been duped once by a nice person. so I have learned business is business and concern is good, but business comes first. So those who are his friend and really concerned, it is time to tell someone with power and authority, that your friend may need some help.

Well when you confronted him what did he say? I really wanna know what a guy with a G35, a supercharge tahoe, a previous supercharged M3 that looked like it had oodles of money poured into it, and a beautiful ducati could possibly want with stealing ONE G35 grill......plus we've all pretty much said now hes incharge of some major company, and I doubt he would want to go down as a "grill theif" in reputation. There has to be some form of a logical explanation for all of this. I havent met the guy personally, I exchanged a few pm's with him and he seemed very intetersted in working on other peoples grills. Unless theres some Infiniti front grill black market that we all dont know about? Honestly, I really hope nothing happened to him involving his G or his BMW at a race, and for the person who ran into him....obviously the first question should have been Where have you been...and I doubt he sat there stuttering the whole time.....so what gives? What did he say?

Man, I really feel for this guy.

I thought Ducatiguy was a great guy, always offered helpful advice on the forums. A while back, I had offered him the side skirts and the rear lip off my Stillen kit for a killer deal and he kept saying he would get back to me. After a long period of time of sending him PMs and emails, he never responded. Ultimately I requested a read receipt for one of my PMs and he FINALLY responded to me, saying that he will definitely get back to me. Again, no response, and never responded to any of my PMs. It really sucked, because I was holding the side skirts and rear lip for him for quite sometime and had to throw it up on EBay at the end because no one wanted it at that point. Told a lot of people no, because he had promised to get back to me and just ignored everything I had sent him.

I hope this is a resolution to this, I would take some course of action. It really sucks, doing transactions over the Internet and hoping there is security with it.

when I was deciding on what to do for an aftermarket grill, I looked into having ducatiguy work on mine. I sent him a PM, which he answered saying he would get back to me. He never got back to me and I eventually decided to get the Data systems grill, which will hopefully be here in a few weeks.

The point of all this is that if ducatiguy wanted to take people's money, I think he would have put more effort into getting mine as well as maevroks.

I'm not trying to defend him or anything. Just my .02.

I've already promised maevrok my stock grill for free (you have to pay the shipping charges, maevrok :-)) if he hasn't gotten his back by the time I get my data systems grill. That'll at least save him a few bucks.

 

On the happier side of internet business...... I received my EverythingG35.com order in two business days.....and paid for a Z-Tube yesterday from a my350z.com member and he shipped this afternoon
