Do you need custom CF parts?

Hi Guys,
My name is Jacob Shin and am a n00b on the forum.
I work for a custom carbon fiber fabrication shop in Los Angeles and we're researching to see if there are mods you guys want that's currently not available in black carbon fiber.

Admin and Moderators, we won't be PM'ing or emailing people who reply to this to get business for free. I know how important sponsorship is for forums and communities like this and that would be disrespectful and underhanded.

We are interested in sponsorship or hosting group buys but would simply like to gauge interest in what the member would like before making that commitment.

I know we're new to you guys but we've been doing custom jobs and GB's for cars ranging from Toyota's, Mitsu's, all the way up to M3's and Porsche Boxsters for the past 5 years. All of our CF parts are hand laid in our shop to ensure quality and never mass produced "cookie-cutter" style or imported from Taiwan or Mexico. We charge you actual shipping + a $10-15 handling fee to pay for customized boxes and padding, and we welcome local pickups at no charge.

With that being said, please reply with your suggestions on what we might be able to fabricate for you guys that's not already available.

Thanks!
Jacob Shin
Director of Internet Sales

you knew this question was coming... =D
functional scoop or just for style?
center scoop or to one side?
a scoop hood is definitely feasible!

Yea, a C.F. hood with recessed hood vents on each side would really be nice!

Re: Do you need custom CF parts?

Are you looking for anyone to prototype new parts on? I'd like to see CF caps for all of the liquids (i.e. power steering, oil, etc.) and a half engine cover for those that have the plenums...I've seen them a few times. I really like the inverted scoops too.

2 G or NOT 2 G, there is no question!

Re: Do you need custom CF parts?

An inner scoop would be REALLY nice! Not something that bulges out from the top of the car. Something center or on each side.

Like that but much less

Re: Do you need custom CF parts?

our website is currently under construction.
i've recently started up the Internet Sales division to gain more exposure and increase our shop's volume, which is great news for you guys b/c we'll be hosting initial GB's at essentially wholesale prices.
after i gather ideas from here, i may run one more thread with a poll on what would be the most popular and then decide on the first GB based on the poll's outcome.
so keep the great ideas coming!
thanks!

quick question on the inverted scoop hood. single center scoop or two side vents like the pictured Ferrari?

Re: Do you need custom CF parts?

It doesn't matter to me if its center inverted or double-side inverted scoop. As long as it doesn't look too "ricey" I'm game. Seibon is releasing some hoods for the G in a couple of weeks, but they all look kinda weird, the lines of the hood doesn't match the lines of the body. Something like this but try to make it look better.

PS. Those are 350z hoods, but ours will look similar.

Re: Do you need custom CF parts?

is this the Nismo wing you're referring to?

as for a CF grille, grilles tend to have very hard angles and are quite costly to fabricate due to the high margin for error. if you guys have a fairly simple design we can consider, please post them here. thanks!

Re: Do you need custom CF parts?

that nismo wing is ugly, this wing is better.

This is the grill we're talking about, pretty simple.
