For those who choose to mod.....

Why do you mod your car...for the track, show or just because? The reason im asking is because im considering making some changes and its gotten to the point where im like ok I may be going too far...Im a just because dude, no shows in my future and not intrested in going to the track...however I could lean in either direction with what is done and what I plan on doing. So if you are a just because person like me how far are you going or how far have you gone?

I mod/modded the G because I went to the drag strip more than a dozen times. It's addicting.

By the way, whenever I get to the point where I'm not gonna be doing any shows or taking the car to the track, I don't see a point on putting anything on the car besides wheels, and a slight drop, but that's it.

I feel you on that and trust me when I got the car it had some things done too it already and I was just going to change a few body parts and get some wheels...now im like its been a year and Im looking at new wheels, looking at different bumpers and changing things here and there and im like damn...whats my purpose? I want it to look good and drive good but then price comes into play with the things im looking at and it just had me thinking...am I the only one going through this mod bug?

yeah i felt the gains in mid-range the most, its nothing CRAZY but i could feel it, but i also put on HFC's around the same time so that should have had more to do with it...the grounding kit..well its not dyno proven to give you more power, but i have a 5AT and it made the shifting a lil smother, smother idle, and it'll be good for when i decide to upgrade my stereo system, and it looks cool lol

No, im not done, still gonna put on a kit, do a mild sound system, maybe a DD, G37 BBK eventually, some other things here and there....but I feel you dont need to have a specific reason to "mod" your car, people on the street that say "damn, you have a nice ride", is reward enough for me

Performance for the sound, and just because I want to be faster than other cars.

For appearance, I just want to be unique and not look like every other G on the road.

I mod because I like my car to look like my car..its a representation of me. I don't do any high speed driving with it/tracking. I do enter some shows just for the love of the sport with no intentions or hopes of winning trophies..its a way of enjoying my hobby.

I do like the looks in traffic but my thing is where to draw the line as far as cost is concerned. Anyone can throw on some rims a kit drop it and be done but is all about how much you spend to get there....for instance my wheels...not the greatest but not the worst and they work for me, but now Im looking into getting something new and what I really like is almost a G per wheel and im like ok...im trippin! Im trying to find a happy medium and it aint easy....
