If all these rumors are true, I one of the many saving my money and going to either Nissan or Infinit trying to by the parts to make the VQ even more powerful. Seriously if the updated tires are nicer then I be upgrading if I can get a good deal, and if the interior is update which sounds possible I will be goint the route many 2002 Altima owners did when the saw the 2003 interior and update the interior.

 

I went to infiniti dealership and the guy told me that infiniti made chip that will increace the power to 320Hp and cost $500 and it will come out in about 6 months.
Dose anybody know when the 05 comes out???

 

Ahh, the fabled "dealer told me about a chip" is back. Until you see an official release about it, don't believe it. This rumor has surfaced before.

20 hp would be easy, folks. And with the TL above the G sedan, there is some corporate pride behind the push. 4.5l uses Ti valvetrain- do that to the VQ35 along with some additional shaving on the pistons, and a 7+K redline would be cake- in fact that's the easy way chipping makes power- with rpm. Have you seen the monstrosities used for intakes on all the VQ applications (other than the Z- hey what's that tube I installed?), including the G? So the Z, G and G sedan all go up 20. Which then allows the Maxima and Type R Altima headroom so as not to step on their higher siblings. Makes sense.
