I wanted to know if someone can suggest at what RPM we should shift to the next gear to get optimal acceleration?

Re: Optimal Shifting
For 6 speed...I shift first gear at redline, then the rest of the gears at around 6300rpms. Power drops off real badly after the peak hp so that's the reason why I do that. However, I've tried shifting at 6300rpms then to redline at the track and I really didn't see too much of a difference.

Re: Optimal Shifting
Get an intake and the sound will be even better. Especially the JWT popcharger/350z air duct combo. Awesome sound.

Re: Optimal Shifting
For normal driving, I usually shift at 2000-3000 rpm, no point in wasting gasoline. But on a long stretch of quiet road, I'll rev it and that exhaust note is intoxicating.

Re: Optimal Shifting
Well depends on the mods tho.. I would say 1st - 2nd 6300 RPMS to help the wheel spin then 6600 RPMS through the rest..

Grounding kit - Yellow Top Optima Battery
350z Pipe / Stillen High-Flow-JUN Flywheel
Crawford Intake Manifold V5 Black-High - Flow cats
Nismo Clutch
Best 1/4 14.153 @ 99.19 / 2.29 - 60'

Re: Optimal Shifting
i like to take it as far as that needle will go, so i'd say about 8,000 rpms would be good. hehe. just kidding. redline that thing and never look back! sounds great up there.

Re: Optimal Shifting
Al, so what you are saying is, next Wed when I am at LACR doing the 1/4, shift AT redline in every gear and I'll acheive maximum HP and acceleration?
