Sometimes I go straight through non stop, other times get off at Kettleman City (~1/2 way +/-) do the In-n-Out thing and gas up at that Vallero at end of strip (cheaper $$ than Nor/So Cal)
Be careful heading ~ 2/3rds home North. (Just got home Sunday) There's a long stretch that's been repaved with unfinished sections and bumps. Some suck and I was bottoming out. Could hear my rear tires hit/scrape inside my wheelwells, but I'm lowered with 285/30"s and fenders rolled. Sidewalls okay, but paint on rolled fenders inside gone! Hopefully they'll have finished all that by the time you head back to Sac.
Not trying to be a Father figure or anything. Just givin you the 411 as a seasoned driver. All it takes is one 'awe shiet' at those speeds and it all goes bad
Enjoy LA mang and safe travels home
The G is meant to be driven, and mine begs for the highway all the time. So far this year, we've driven to Tennessee (2,500 miles round trip) and twice to Arizona (1,000 miles each). We're back to Ariz later this month and in August will make a 4,000 mile loop up through Wyoming, the Dakotas, Minn to Michigan, and back the lower way. If we can fit it in, we'll go up to Tahoe in September.
i'm driving up to beantown tomorrow night. I'm looking for tape as well, but blue tape on a red car? i guess functionality over look for this is worth it
just called the stealership and have a bra for 160 bucks. looks like i'm gonna have to blue tape it
