Cool thanks
Quote: Damn, seems like everyone responded before I got a chance!!! I used to have an 04 g35 auto, but I spent a ton of money to swap a 6 speed in. (Too much power for that POS auto tranny). I did however take my car to the track many times with the auto. Smoking the tires is pretty easy, just make sure your VDC is off.

Hold the brake down, and apply gas. You'll start smoking up your tires in a matter of seconds. More gas = more smoke. Then take off. Watch it though, you might get squirrelly when you take off.

I feel your pain on the auto though.

P.S. Autos can be a lot of fun. I was running mid 13's with my tranny, even though it was bouncing off the rev limiter before I hit 5k rpms. Damn you Nissan for building weak autos!
Appreciate the info. Too bad the highway repair people didn't tie down their stuff and damaged the entire passenger side of my car when their box of plastic and metal tubing flew off their truck. I raced him down and pulled him over and got his info. The company is giving me the cold shoulder but my insurance said they will easily go after them. Still sucks. At least it's only scratches and nothing too major. This after I get hit with hail two days before. Again not too terrible but to me, the worst thing that could freakin happen .

Thanks but I wanted to know about my G35. I already burn out just fine in my Hemi powered charger.

Thanks
Quote: Just brake torque. Are you on the 17"s or 18"s?

Non-summer tires are much easier to spin.

I had 17" RE92a's on my coupe, and could spin them no problem with minimal brake torquing.
I'm on 18"s.

That sucks man! I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my car. I've spent more money on it than any sane person should, and if I see even a minor knick, I get pissed and fix it immediately.

My front fascia used to be slammed like crazy, but I had to replace it twice, now I have it riding higher for daily driving, and slam it for shows. I even have that G35 black metallic paint that comes in a nail polish bottle, to touch up the paint under my lip. I definitely understand "little things" being a big deal.

Wow, why the attitude? I answered another members response to your post & noted that I read about this recently in another thread from a different member than you...BFD! What, do you think I would actually make that up?

Well glad you wasted time trying to find another pointless thread. Probably because the search tool on this forum really doesn't work that well. Unless you type in the right info, you won't always get every thread with similar content.

Also, I wasn't aware that the forum rules are that every response or comment to a thread was supposed to help that person....are you kidding? Have you seen how much unrelated content comes up in threads?

Now go smoke those tires!!!

you guys cant be serious, Ive got a 5AT and I can spin em easily!! Just hold the brake and gas with VDC off and you spin em...its extremely easy, considering I had an AWD vehicle before this and I can get them to spin...I gues thats why I think its so easy LOL.

you try putting bleach on your tires before hand, we used to do that in highschool to smoke my buddies ford escort out. I got the 6mt and I have trouble burning it out, but have done it, along with some donuts in an empty parking lot and I tend to drift turns at intersections when I am bored. Sad is it was easier to chirp my tires when my clutch was burning out (almost always chirped cause it was slipping so bad)
