The VQ engine has to dump lots of heat from the radiator. (Where do you think all the lost energy from the low gas mileage goes?) There's no way they can plug-up the front end like that!!

I hope they don't do that. It wouldn't look right at all. I'll be getting a 2005 one also.

 

Personally, I like the photoshopped image. I would not be disappointed at all if that is how the the 05 turned out. It's very smooth looking. However, If they did do something like that, they would probably have the little infiniti logo on the front, flush with the body.

I think this design would require not much modification to the original, and it still allows air to flow through to the radiator/filter. Any thoughts on this type of design?

 

I just picked up my new Coupe this week. I was told by the GM of the dealership: 05 MT coupe will have 300 Hp (Only)
AT Coupe will remain the same at 280 Hp....Sedan will move up to 280 Hp. Minor interior changes.

He did not say anything about the exterior changes. He was informed that there "shouldn't" be any changes.

 

I skimmed this thread and didn't see anything about this topic, so I hope I'm not repeating anything. But does anyone know if the 05 coupe will offer AWD like the sedan already does?

If they only upgrade the manual transmission, it will be one of the dumbest changes a car manufacturer has ever done.
Even if they gave the manual +300hp, I WOULD STILL BUY AN AUTOMATIC. I just hope infiniti is not as dumb as that rumor would suggest.

 

I guess they figured the 6MT drivers needed all the help they could get to keep up with the 5ATs . With all the rev limiting, slipping/bogging, and peeling out...it's a miracle any of them get into the 14s.
