RyanGSanders, in your personal, professional opinion, do you think the extra hp will only go to the manual? or do you think both auto and manual will benifit from the extra hp?

I could be mistaken but I'm almost certain deadline for 05 coupe orders are not June. In fact dealerships won't get the official word of exactly what is going to happen (at least anything on paper) till probably first thing NEXT month.

Best thing to do is order an 04 now the way you want it. It'll take around 90 days. Probabilities are that you can switch that over to an 05 when it does come time to order.

Just make sure when you sign the deal to have the manager sign that on the deal.

i was told from two dealers that the first week of july is the order time for 05 g35 coupes.

 

My understanding is that the HP gain will be across the board...and not relegated only to the manual gearbox. From talking with techs and service writers, the auto in the coupe is a pretty stout piece of equipment and the bump in HP and torque is not going to strain it....

Also...we've received no written guidance on 05 anything...as of yet. That would include specs, orders, time to produce...all that jazz.

I'll keep y'all posted as anything becomes available...
