Cold Start AT shift grind

My auto transmission 06 that i just purchased makes a short rattley grind sound when i start to drive it. It only does it once, the first shift it makes from 1st to 2nd after its been sitting still for several hours. From that point on it's fine.

Any explanations?

my 07 coupe makes a noise like that too, but it doesnt do it when it shifts, it just randomly does it when i start to drive. it sounds like a fan kicks on then off.

That's not the transmission. It is the ABS system doing a system check. You can feel the brake slightly vibrating. Read the manual, it'll tell you so.

Its not the transmission. I don't remember what it is, but it may be the ABS system too. I've had it since I had my car. It is normal.

ABS, notice that it does it all the time at almost the same time. mine does it right before the shift.
